Introduction

The idea to organize an international conference was initiated from a series of colloquium held by the Applied Sciences Faculty (FSG) and other faculties in UiTM Sarawak branch for every semester since December 2015. This year, the colloquium will be extended to international level in order to promote the development goals of Industrial Revolution 4.0. In addition, this conference aims to provide researchers, especially young researchers, to niche their academic studies with the ever-changing technological environment for better improvement in their respective specialized areas and it is very useful even after they have graduated.

In the present day, emerging and advancing economies has increased the needs to enhance the supply of quality education and indigenous research to meet their development goals. With the objectives to promote research within the academic community, to enhance the quality of education, and to engage with industry relationships in advancing economies, UiTM Sarawak will bring together scholars, professionals and practitioners from various disciplines and countries and provide them with a unique platform for sharing the latest theories and practices prevalent to dynamic service economies.

Conference Objectives

The main objective of the research conference is to provide a platform for local and international participants from both academics and industries to present their authoritative knowledge and the most up-to-date research findings in innovative sciences and technologies, while providing new opportunities to others who are preparing to venture into innovative sciences and technologies for the exchange of information and knowledge between the academics and practitioners for service excellence. The conference will also provide the opportunity to highlight the most recent innovation in science and technology developments and identify emerging and future areas of growth and collaboration in these exciting fields.
